SAFB Community Kitchen @ HAVEN | 6:00-9:00 AM

SA Food Bank has a Community Kitchen present on the Haven for Hope campus to provide hot meals to those experiencing homelessness. Help assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast for the residents of Haven for Hope. Other kitchen activities will include, but are not limited to all aspects of kitchen clean up; dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping. Volunteers will also greet the residents with a smile and welcome, as they arrive for their meal!   Ages 15+

Bed Build | 9:00-11:00 AM

THIS PROJECT IS FULL!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace provides free beds to children in San Antonio sleeping on the floor, or in less than-desirable sleeping situations, including children in the foster system. There are over 70,000 children in San Antonio without beds to sleep in, and SHP has a goal of providing at least 1800 of those children with a quality, safe bed to lay their heads! Help build headboards, footboards, and sideboards for bed build day! All Ages / Family Friendly

The Salvation Army has a mission to meet and serve the basic human needs of veterans, seniors, low-income and homeless individuals, in the name of Jesus. Join your CBC Family at the Salvation Army to prepare and package healthy sack lunches for clients and guests they serve on a daily basis!   Ages 5+ with accompanied Adult.

Soldier Letters

THIS PROJECT IS FULL!  Join your CBC Family as we deliver real hope and write words of support and encouragement to soldiers stationed in Seoul, South Korea. These individuals are away from friends, family and familiarities, and may or may not know Jesus. Help us deliver a letter to share the comfort, love and hope of Jesus ! All Ages / Family Friendly

Serve over 200 hot meals to those experiencing chronic homelessness in our city, in the CUB kitchen. This is SHIFT 2 of the opportunity. Please also register to “PREP Dinner for the Homeless” if you would like to help prepare and cook, if spots are available.
